Conlon entered in 5K at D-I championships

Katie Conlon will compete in the 5,000-meter run at the NCAA Division I indoor national championships for the University of Oregon on Friday in Fayetteville, Ark.

Katie Conlon will compete in the 5,000-meter run at the NCAA Division I indoor national championships for the University of Oregon on Friday in Fayetteville, Ark.

Conlon, a former Jamestown High School and Jamestown College standout, enters the 7:55 p.m. race with the 10th-best time in the nation at 15:53.73.

Conlon, an 11-time All-American for the Jimmies, earned the same honor for the Ducks cross country team in the fall when she helped them to the national championship.

Laura Roesler, the former Fargo South star, also will compete for Oregon. Roesler will compete in the open 800 and run the 800 leg of the Ducks’ distance medley relay team.
