Damage reported from two-car crash

A two-vehicle crash caused about $7,000 in damage Wednesday, according to the Jamestown Police Department. The accident happened in the 1800 block of Second Place Northeast at 12:04 p.m.

A two-vehicle crash caused about $7,000 in damage Wednesday, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

The accident happened in the 1800 block of Second Place Northeast at 12:04 p.m.

Charles F. Ricketts, 35, 1819 Second Place NE, was driving a 2012 Toyota east on Second Place Northeast. Carol J. Janke, 60, 316 21st Ave. NE, was driving a 1995 Buick car also east on Second Place Northeast behind Ricketts.

Ricketts stopped to make a right hand turn to the south to back into the driveway to his home on the north side of the road and backed into Janke’s car.

No injuries were reported. Both drivers wore their seat belts.

Damage was estimated at $3,000 to Ricketts’ vehicle and $4,000 to Janke’s car.

Ricketts was cited for care required.
