Rugby cruises past Cavalier 57-42

Rugby's Kyle Lovcik and Brad Heidlebaugh each had a double-double Friday as the Panthers mauled Cavalier 57-42 in a consolation game at the North Dakota boys Class B basketball tournament.

MINOT, N.D. (AP) — Rugby's Kyle Lovcik and Brad Heidlebaugh each had a double-double Friday as the Panthers mauled Cavalier 57-42 in a consolation game at the North Dakota boys Class B basketball tournament.

Lovcik led the Panthers (25-2) with 20 points and 11 rebounds. He made eight of 17 shots, while dishing out three assists.

Heidlebaugh was 8-for-10 from the field for 17 points. He grabbed 11 rebounds and also dished out three assists. Josh Michels added 11 points.

Cavalier (19-7) trailed at each quarter stop despite a 21-point game from Ryan Chrest. Brock Robbins added 10 points.
