Guilty plea set for assault case

An Arizona sheriff’s deputy charged with driving to West Fargo to beat up a man who slept with his wife is set to plead guilty in the criminal case against him.

FARGO — An Arizona sheriff’s deputy charged with driving to West Fargo to beat up a man who slept with his wife is set to plead guilty in the criminal case against him.

Timothy Abrahamson, 41, is charged in Cass County District Court with aggravated assault, a Class C felony, in the Sept. 16 attack in the victim’s driveway. Court documents state the victim lost part of an ear.

Cass County prosecutor Tristan Van de Streek said he could not elaborate on details of Abrahamson’s planned guilty plea, which is set for May 6.
