Home and Garden Show, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Jamestown Civic Center. Free admission and seminars.

Fourth Annual Potato Bar/silent auction/raffle for James River Humane Society, 5 to 7 p.m., Knights of Columbus Hall. Tickets: $10 per person; children 10 and under eat free.

Valley City Bluegrass jam session, 1 to 5 p.m., Barnes County Museum, 315 Central Ave. N, Valley City. The jam is free; beginning bluegrass musicians are welcome.

Eighth annual Business Leaders Chili Cook-Off Contest, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Buffalo mall commons area. Cost: $5. All proceeds benefit James River Senior Citizens’ Meals on Wheels program. RSVP+ hosting bake sale for program also; entertainment also planned.

Free horse-drawn wagon rides, 1 to 4 p.m., at The Bunker. Free hot chocolate and popcorn will be included.
