N.D. ranks fourth in export growth

North Dakota ranked fourth in the nation in annual export growth from 2011 to 2012.

BISMARCK (AP) — North Dakota ranked fourth in the nation in annual export growth from 2011 to 2012.

North Dakota’s exports increased from $3.39 billion in 2011 to $4.29 billion in 2012. That’s a 26 percent increase. North Dakota is among 11 states that achieved double-digit growth in annual exports last year.

Last year, businesses in North Dakota shipped their products to more than 140 foreign countries.
