Jensen, Mathison get academic honor

Jamestown College basketball players Carly Jensen and Morgan Mathison have been named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes.

Jensen, a 5-foot-8 junior from White Bear Lake, Minn., was second on the Jimmies in scoring at 10.5 points per game. Mathison, a 5-6 junior from Dilworth, Minn., averaged 6.8 points per game for the Jimmies, who went 27-6 and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the national tournament.

In order to qualify as a scholar-athlete, candidates must be at least a junior academically and maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
