Lillejord was the clinic manager at Medcenter One for eight years. Since December he has been the director of both Sanford clinics. He said both clinics are reporting to Fargo. They are presently in training with a new electronic health record called Epic. This is a system that will be for the clinics and the hospital so they can share records. By March 21, it will be up and running. He said the two clinics cannot fit into one building so they are looking at how to consolidate as right now they both have labs, physical therapy, etc. Moving to Jamestown Regional Medical Center is an option. They want to expand services and in three to six months they will go public with what they will be doing, he said. They have 19 physicians all together. He spoke on how the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, will affect the clinics.

Sandy Franke led the meeting with 16 members attending. Lt. Mitch Brecto led the group singing. Kenrad Pederson collected “Happy Dollars” for the backpack program. There will be no meeting on March 18 as the members will be attending the Ag Week Luncheon on March 19.

Troy Gunderson from Youth for Christ will speak at the March 25 noon luncheon at the Lantern Room. He will discuss the building capital campaign and how it is going. For more information on Kiwanis, visit Facebook.com/JamestownKiwanis or email JamestownKiwanis@gmail.com.
