JC Student Senate hosting event

The Jamestown College Student Senate is hosting “Learning to Lead with Intelligent Communication: A Student Leadership Conference” on March 23. The free event is designed for high school students active in student government, students who are leaders in their organizations and activities, and student-athletes who are team captains.

The Jamestown College Student Senate is hosting “Learning to Lead with Intelligent Communication: A Student Leadership Conference” on March 23.

The free event is designed for high school students active in student government, students who are leaders in their organizations and activities, and student-athletes who are team captains.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with check-in beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the Reiland Fine Arts Center on campus. Lunch will be provided.

Keynote speaker Liz Hunt will present “Differences Between Intelligent and Normal Communication.” Hunt is executive assistant to the president at Jamestown College and is a faculty member in the Department of Communication. The conference also includes breakout sessions, a leadership skill building activity, and campus tours.
