The 25th Annual Scouting for Food Drive is scouting’s community stewardship project aimed at addressing the problem of hunger in the community in which we live and work. Boy Scouts and their community partner, Gate City Bank, are working together on this project to help those in need in the community.

In 2012, the Northern Lights Council’s Scouting for Food drive collected more than 90,000 pounds of food across its territory and this year they have set their goal at 103,000 pounds of food to celebrate 103 years of Scouting.

People who do not get a door hanger at their home and who would like to participate and donate to the Scouting for Food drive, can drop their food items off at any Gate City Bank location from March 16-31

For more information on the Scouting for Food drive, contact the Boy Scout office at 701-740-6896.

The Northern Lights Council serves North Dakota, 18 counties in northwest Minnesota and two counties each in South Dakota and Montana. The Northern Lights Council is a United Way Agency.
