Crash results in damages

No one was injured in a crash that caused an estimated $10,000 in damage Wednesday, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at 8:40 a.m. on the U.S. Highway 52 bypass, approximately half a mile north of Jamestown.
The patrol said a 2013 Freightliner pulling an enclosed semi-trailer, driven by Mirjana Rorbek, 64, Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada, was eastbound approaching a stop sign on the bypass at an interchange north of Jamestown. A 1998 Pontiac Grand Am, driven by Anne Keffeler, 34, Buchanan, N.D., was southbound on Highway 52 at approximately 50 mph.
The truck failed to yield at the stop sign and pulled out in front of the car. The car slid into the side of the truck’s trailer.
There were no injuries and both drivers were wearing seat belts.
There was an estimated $6,500 in damage to the Pontiac and $3,500 to the Freightliner.
The crash remains under investigation, the patrol said.
Rorbek was cited for failed to yield.
