About $7,200 in damage was reported in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday, according to the Jamestown Police Department.
The accident happened at 8:34 a.m. at the intersection of First Avenue South and Eighth Street Southwest.
Delbert Bossingham, 70, 317 Sixth St. SW, was driving a 2012 Chevrolet northbound in the inside lane of First Street South. Rory Ibes, 42, of 721 11th Ave. SW, was driving a 2008 Dodge southbound in the outside lane of First Avenue.
Bossingham was making a left turn from First Avenue onto Eight Street when he struck Ibes. There was another vehicle stopped in the inside lane southbound on First Avenue at the intersection that partially obscured Bossingham’s and Ibes’ abilities to see one another.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
Damage was estimated at $3,700 to Dodge and $3,500 to the Chevrolet.
Bossingham was cited for left turn movement when unsafe.
