Century’s Larson named top player

Hannah Larson of Bismarck Century has been named the Gatorade Basketball Player of the Year.
The 6-foot-1 forward has led the Patriots to an 18-3 record and spot in the Class A tournament, averaging 16.4 points, 12.4 rebounds, 2.9 blocks and 2.4 steals. The Patriots advanced to the state ‘A’ semifinals Thursday with a 52-38 win over Grand Forks Red River.
Larson carries a 3.8 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society. She was a first-team all-state selection as a junior for the Patriots.
Larson, also a volleyball standout, is undecided about her college destination.
