Benson County wins

Benson County captured the Region 4 title and a trip to state with a 47-43 win over Lakota-Adams-Edmore Thursday night at the Devils Lake Sports Center.

Sara Schwanke and Becca Eberle had matching 14-point games to lead Benson County, which led after each quarter.

Fallyn Freije had a game-high 18 points to lead Lakota-Adams-Edmore. Ashtin Freije followed with 15.

North Star edged Carrington 58-57 in the third-place game.

Kelsey Teubner poured in 21 points in the victory for North Star.

Kayla Hochhalter led three Cardinals in double figures with 12 points. Jacey Engelhorn added 11 and Breana Barton 10.
