Letter to the editor: Lawmakers should work in session; not play on Twitter

It has always been my understanding that the responsibility of a legislator during a floor session is to engage in debate and to discuss the policy vote at hand, not to Tweet or Facebook play-by-play updates. Social media is a great means to educate and involve constituents, but there is a time and a place for such interactions and it is not during a floor vote. The people of Jamestown should be disappointed in Rep. Jessica Haak’s choice of social media interaction instead of policy engagement.
