Travel alert issued for Jamestown, southeast North Dakota

The North Dakota Department of Transportation has issued a travel alert for much of southeastern North Dakota including the Jamestown area.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation has issued a travel alert for much of southeastern North Dakota including the Jamestown area.

Cities in the alert include Jamestown, Ellendale, Valley City, Fargo and Wahpeton as well as communities in the surrounding areas.

The travel alert was prompted by freezing rain and snow conditions making travel hazardous. A travel alert means motorists can still travel but are advised they may encounter difficult conditions. Travelers should slow down and allow extra time to reach their destination.
