One cited in two-car crash

More than $5,550 in damage occurred in a two-car accident Saturday, according to the Jamestown Police Department. The accident happened at 7:08 p.m. at the intersection of Ninth Street Southeast and 12th Avenue Southeast.

The accident happened at 7:08 p.m. at the intersection of Ninth Street Southeast and 12th Avenue Southeast.

Christopher R. Paulk, 22, 849 Ninth St. SE, was driving a 2004 Pontiac eastbound on Ninth Street Southeast, approaching the intersection.

Joshua S. Voigt, 28, 711 10th St. NE, No. 307, was driving a 2005 Nissan north on 12th Avenue Southeast through the intersection. Paulk struck Voigt’s car and left the scene of the accident, police said.

No one was injured and both men were wearing seat belts.

Damage was estimated at $3,000 for the Pontiac and $2,500 for the Nissan.

Paulk was cited for failed to yield at the intersection and failed to remain at the scene of an accident.
