Few details available about rural fire

Firefighters with the Jamestown Rural Fire Department were expected to stay at the scene of a shop fire all Monday night, said Joel Guthmiller, first captain of the JRFD.

Firefighters with the Jamestown Rural Fire Department were expected to stay at the scene of a shop fire all Monday night, said Joel Guthmiller, first captain of the JRFD.

The fire department received a page about the fire at 6:45 p.m. Monday. As of 8:45 p.m., details were scant and the fire remained under investigation.

“We’re going to have firemen (there) all night just to secure it,” Guthmiller said, adding that given the cold, “it’s not the greatest thing in the world.”
