Goodrich speaks at Toastmasters

The Toastmasters met March 12. Toastmaster Anita Monek shared some information about the pope and the election process of the pope. Then Anita introduced Melissa Goodrich as the speaker for the evening.

Toastmaster Anita Monek shared some information about the pope and the election process of the pope. Then Anita introduced Melissa Goodrich as the speaker for the evening.

Goodrich told a story called “the three brides” in which there was a moral that procrastination does not pay.

Table topics master Paul Behle had Mike Schwartz and Martin Monek answer questions concerning procrastination. Martin Monek won best table topics speaker.

Deb Alber evaluated Goodrich’s speech.

The general evaluator, Mike Schwartz, gave a critique of the meeting as a whole.

Ah counter/ grammarian and time was Martin Monek.

The meeting ended with some talk about Speechcraft, which will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. April 9, 16, 23 and 30. Posters and other information are to follow in the coming weeks.

Toastmaster for next week is Behle and speakers will be Schwartz and Mary Schwartzkopf.

Toastmasters meet at 6 p.m. every Tuesday in the basement of St. James Basilica.
