Two-car crash results in damages

More than $6,000 in damage occurred in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

More than $6,000 in damage occurred in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

The accident happened at 3:42 p.m. at the intersection of Fifth Street and Second Avenue Northwest.

Elvin Patzner, 88, 1401 Gardenette, was driving a 1988 Cadillac car north on Second Avenue Northwest. Roxanne E. Hoff, 28, 304 Park St., was driving a 2001 Chevrolet west on Fifth Street Northwest, approaching the intersection. Patzner had stopped at a stop sign at the intersection then proceeded through the intersection. Hoff’s vehicle struck Patzner’s car.

Hoff had a possible injury but did not seek medical attention. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

Damage was estimated at $3,000 to the Cadillac and $3,000 to the Chevrolet.

Hoff was cited for driving without liability insurance and was arrested for driving under suspension. Patzner was cited for failing to yield after stopping.
