Guatemala’s tourist literature describes the country as “The Soul of the Earth.” From the mountainous highlands to the tropical jungles, Guatemala, the size of Tennessee, provides a diversity of landscape and biology. Native arts and hand-woven fabrics from marketplaces like Chichicastenango will be on display. Learn tips for traveling foreign lands from Skroch. Bring your passport for adventure to the Barnes County Historical Museum for this Guatemala show.

Skroch, chair of the Division of Fine Arts and Department of Music, holds degrees in music, art and Spanish. Her continuing study of the Spanish language has led her to travel in Spain and Mexico and Central and South America.

All lectures are in conjunction with Valley City State University and are free and open to the public. All lectures are held at the Barnes County Historical Society Museum, 315 Central Ave. N. Valley City, N.D.
