UND gives Jones 3-year extension

University of North Dakota officials say head men’s basketball coach Brian Jones has been given a three-year contract extension. The announcement was made by co-athletic directors Steve Brekke and Betty Ralston.

GRAND FORKS (AP) — University of North Dakota officials say head men’s basketball coach Brian Jones has been given a three-year contract extension.

The announcement was made by co-athletic directors Steve Brekke and Betty Ralston.

They say the extension runs through the 2012-13 season —the first season UND will be eligible for NCAA Division I postseason play.
