Minot child care facility closing

A child care facility in Minot that cares for about 60 children is closing in late June. The facility is run by the ING company and Children’s Home Society and Family Services. An ING spokesman said the company needs more office space because of growth in the business.

MINOT (AP) — A child care facility in Minot that cares for about 60 children is closing in late June.

The facility is run by the ING company and Children’s Home Society and Family Services. An ING spokesman said the company needs more office space because of growth in the business.

The child care center originally was designed for ING employees, but company workers now represent a minority of families that use the center.

Some parents said they were blindsided by the news. Teacher Josh Rivera said he and other employees hope to start a new center.
