Jamestown’s child care challenges continue to be a concern for families, business owners and those seeking employment opportunities. Jamestown Stutsman Development Corp. and Child Care Resource and Referral have collected data from an online survey and community meeting. Top issues identified were availability of care, especially care for infants, quality of available care and an adequate and trained work force for the early childhood field. JSDC and the CCRR encourage participation at a meeting to be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on May 5 at the Center for Economic Development. Discussion will focus on strategies the community can take to address the identified issues.
