Lewis-Clark State forces second title game

Lewis-Clark State was on the verge of wrapping up another NAIA baseball championship Friday night. The Warriors (57-7) rallied to beat top-seeded Lee, Tenn., Thursday night 7-6 to force a decisive second championship game on Friday. At press time, the Warriors led the Flames 5-3 in the eighth inning.

The Warriors, seeking their third straight title, trailed 6-2 after six innings on Thursday. Brian Ward hit two home runs for the Warriors and the go-ahead double in the top of the ninth inning.

It was the first loss of the Series for the Flames (63-9), who are chasing their first championship in school history.
