Air Guard soldiers deployed to Romania

Some Fargo-based North Dakota Air National Guard members have been deployed to Romania. Guard spokeswoman Penny Ripperger said 43 engineers with the 119th Wing left Fargo on Sunday for a two-week deployment.

FARGO (AP) — Some Fargo-based North Dakota Air National Guard members have been deployed to Romania.

Guard spokeswoman Penny Ripperger said 43 engineers with the 119th Wing left Fargo on Sunday for a two-week deployment.

Ripperger also says that state Guard commander Dave Sprynczynatyk (sprin-suh-NAT’-ick) is on a mission to Romania, Germany and Africa. The state Guard has a military exchange program with the African nation of Ghana.
