* Wade Spitzer brings considerable experience in management being a business owner himself, which helps him understand how to respect budgets. Also, he supports creating a dog park and keeping Jamestown’s public swimming pool open while looking for a better option to the current pool.
* Mark Ukestad also brings valuable knowledge from his profession, being a teacher and football coach, which gives him a solid background in recreation and youth activities. He also supports a dog park and keeping a swimming pool in Jamestown, and his ideas about building a community center here deserve a look.
Incumbent Ron Olson’s interest in parks and recreation is commendable but we think the backgrounds and ideas that Spitzer and Ukestad have will serve our community the best.
