Streeter church to celebrate 100 years
Members of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Streeter, N.D., will be celebrating “100 Years of Grace” next weekend for the church’s centennial. The celebration begins with a worship service at 7 p.m. June 28 with the Rev. Marvin Schumacher from Clarksville, Iowa.

There will be a worship service with Holy Communion at 10 a.m. on June 29 with the Revs. Ted Dewald, Lacrosse, Wis., and Emil Dockter, Surprise, Ariz. A noon meal is at the Streeter Memorial Hall, and another worship service at 2 p.m. will feature stories from all the former and current pastors.
The congregation was incorporated in 1908 under the Rev. H. Nagel. The original building lasted 40 years. The second, brick building was built in its place and stands today.
St. Luke is part of a three-point parish with English Lutheran, Medina, N.D., and United Church of Christ, Streeter. The Rev. Chris Hogstad is the present pastor. It belongs to the Eastern North Dakota Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
