DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (AP) — A U.S. Fish and Wildlife employee was not injured after an Amtrak passenger train struck the government-owned vehicle he was driving near Devils Lake.
Devils Lake Fire Chief Jim Moe said the man, whose name was not released, walked away from the crash early Friday morning.
Moe said the man heard the train but did not see it. He said the warning lights at the railroad crossing were working at the time of the crash.
Moe said the train was not badly damaged and continued on to Washington state. The chief said the government vehicle was totaled.
