Enderle finishes 200th in triathlon

Nathan Enderle of Jamestown placed 200th out of over 1,200 competitors in the inaugural 70.3 Ironman Kansas triathlon. Enderle, a former hockey standout at Jamestown High School, finished the competition in 5:26.24. He placed 13th in his age group (18-24) out of 30 entrants.

The race consisted of 1.2 mile swim in Clinton Lake, a 56-mile bike course and a half-marathon race of 13.2 miles.

Nearly a third of the original field did not finish the race due to safety concerns caused by severe weather in the Lawrence, Kan., area on June 15.
