PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — The trial of a Fort Thompson man accused of killing his half brother has been delayed until September.
The trial had been scheduled for July 29 in federal court in Pierre, but attorneys for Torin Forrest Crowe, 39, asked for the delay so they have more time to prepare.
He is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Dustin Cheyenne Crowe, 24, at Fort Thompson in early March.
Dustin Crowe bled to death because of a cut to the neck that severed his jugular vein, the prosecutor has said.
