Expect to hear the roar of engines this weekend as 300 Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) members come to Jamestown for the annual North Dakota State H.O.G. rally.

Gordie Tuel, director of the Grand Forks H.O.G. chapter, said registration will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday and 8 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Civic Center. Preregistration is not required. For those coming from out of town, the Gladstone Inn and Suites is the host hotel for the rally.

Tuel said the rally is not limited to North Dakota Harley owners. People have preregistered from as far as Florida, Georgia, New York and New Zealand.

Most of the weekends activities — meals, entertainment and rides — are for registered participants only, but the public is invited to watch Saturday’s bike games from 7:30 to 10 p.m. in the Civic Center. Tuel is sure the arena won’t be filled with smoke.

“It’s gonna be more noisy than anything else,” he said.

Stutsman Harley-Davidson is providing the Friday evening and Saturday morning meals for the participants and the Christian Motorcycle Association will hold a Sunday service from 7:30 to 8 a.m. at the National Buffalo Museum.
