Fargo couple seeks help with raccoon problem
A Fargo couple wants the city to change the way it handles wild animal complaints, especially for raccoons. Rick and Lolita Fischer say they’ve been bothered by bold raccoons. The Fischers worry that the raccoons may bite a child, or spread diseases. Animal pound supervisor Terry Stoll says he has traps available, but it’s up to homeowners to trap nuisance animals.
FARGO (AP) — A Fargo couple wants the city to change the way it handles wild animal complaints, especially for raccoons.
Rick and Lolita Fischer say they’ve been bothered by bold raccoons. The Fischers worry that the raccoons may bite a child, or spread diseases.
Animal pound supervisor Terry Stoll says he has traps available, but it’s up to homeowners to trap nuisance animals.
Commissioner Brad Wimmer urged the Fischers to work with neighbors to remove the food sources in the area.
