GRAND FORKS (AP) — A Grand Forks postal worker says he will plead guilty to stealing gift guards in the mail.
Brian McGurran is charged in federal court with 17 counts of theft of mail matter by a postal service employee.
Authorities say the 28-year-old McGurran stole 17 gift cards worth nearly $900. The thefts allegedly occurred between November 2007 and January 2008.
McGurran pleaded not guilty in June. Federal public defender Jeffrey Viken has requested a change of plea hearing, which has not yet been scheduled.
