Laraway promoted to captain in Navy

Lori Laraway has achieved the rank of captain as a U.S. Navy nurse. Laraway graduated from James-town College with a degree in nursing. She joined the Navy in 1986 and has served in Guam, Cuba and the Iraq-Kuwait borders.

Laraway graduated from James-town College with a degree in nursing. She joined the Navy in 1986 and has served in Guam, Cuba and the Iraq-Kuwait borders.

She is stationed in Washington and is the head of the Stress Division for the Navy.

Laraway, who grew up in Cleveland, has two daughters, Staci and Andrea. Lori Laraway is the daughter of Phyllis Leysring, Bismarck.
