Napoleon hosts 5K/10K races

Chad Schumacher, Larry Benke, Doyle Edwards and Darwin Berg were first-place finishers at the 22nd annual Napoleon Business Association 5 and 10K walk and run on Sept. 27.

Schumacher, of Napoleon, placed first in the 10K bike race in a time of 45:58.

In the 10K run, Benke took top honors in 53:08 Nina Wentz was second in 53:45.

Edwards won the 5K run in 22:39. J.C. Els of Gackle was second in 23:45.

Darwin and Pat Berg of Bismarck placed 1-2 in the 5K walk, crossing in 27:54 and 38:33.
