Walhalla man pleads guilty to charges

A Walhalla man has pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine and marijuana with intent to deliver. Randy Bartlette entered the guilty pleas in Northeast District Court in Cavalier. The 51-year-old Bartlette is to be sentenced Nov. 4. A plea agreement calls for 12 years.

CAVALIER, N.D. (AP) — A Walhalla man has pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine and marijuana with intent to deliver.

Randy Bartlette entered the guilty pleas in Northeast District Court in Cavalier. The 51-year-old Bartlette is to be sentenced Nov. 4. A plea agreement calls for 12 years.

Prosecutors had alleged aggravating factors that could lead to a longer sentence. They said Bartlette lived within 1,000 feet of the Walhalla Public School. The aggravating factor allegation was dropped.

Judge Laurie Fontaine has ordered a pre-sentence investigation.
