Two people were sentenced on felony charges in Southeast District Court in Jamestown.
Barrett Woods Hieb, 20, 417 Fourth St. N.W., pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, a Class C felony. On March 10, along with other members of the Kliq gang, Hieb was accused of causing bodily harm to a minor. One attacker had a rubber mallet. Attackers kicked and punched the minor until they believed the minor had been knocked unconscious. Judge John Greenwood sentenced Hieb to one year and one day in the North Dakota Department of Corrections with five days credit for time served. He was ordered to submit to a DNA test. He will be placed on supervised probation for three years. Hieb was ordered to pay a $325 indigent recoupment, $400 criminal administration fee, $100 defense/facility administration fee, $25 victim-witness fee, $996 in restitution and to not possess or own firearms.
A Class C felony is punishable by a maximum of five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
Samuel Paul Humann, 35, of Fargo, pleaded guilty to theft of property, a Class C felony. On March 15, Humann was accused of knowingly taking or using a credit card, debit card or electronic service to obtain money, property, labor or services. He was sentenced to 50 hours of community service with one year supervised probation and required a one-year deferred imposition. He was ordered to pay a $400 criminal administration fee, $100 defense/ facility administration fee, $50 community service supervision fee, $25 victim witness fee and $339 restitution. He may not posses or own firearms.
