Man recovering after crash

A 20-year-old man from Floodwood is recovering after his car struck a moose in northwestern Minnesota.

CROOKSTON, Minn. (AP) — A 20-year-old man from Floodwood is recovering after his car struck a moose in northwestern Minnesota.

The Minnesota State Patrol said the man suffered minor injuries when his 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt struck a moose coming out of a ditch.

The accident happened on US Highway 2 about a mile west of County Road 32 at 9:25 p.m. Sunday.

The man was taken to Riverview Hospital in Crookston with minor injuries. His car was totaled. The moose died.
