Two killed in Dickinson crash

Two Bismarck, N.D., residents were killed in a crash Tuesday morning in Dickinson, N.D., according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol. The patrol said LaDonna Kubik, Dickinson, was driving a 2000 Ford 1-ton truck with a stock trailer eastbound on the East Interstate 94 Business Loop in Dickinson approaching exit 64 on I-94. A 2004 Dodge Intrepid being driven by an 84-year-old Bismarck man entered the roadway from I-94 after stopping at the end of the exit ramp. The truck hit the Intrepid on its driver’s side. Both vehicles went into the north ditch and came to a rest there.

Two Bismarck, N.D., residents were killed in a crash Tuesday morning in Dickinson, N.D., according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The patrol said LaDonna Kubik, Dickinson, was driving a 2000 Ford 1-ton truck with a stock trailer eastbound on the East Interstate 94 Business Loop in Dickinson approaching exit 64 on I-94. A 2004 Dodge Intrepid being driven by an 84-year-old Bismarck man entered the roadway from I-94 after stopping at the end of the exit ramp. The truck hit the Intrepid on its driver’s side. Both vehicles went into the north ditch and came to a rest there.

The driver of the car and his 81-year-old female passenger, also of Bismarck, were pronounced dead at the scene. The patrol said they were both wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash and that their air bags deployed. Kubik was not wearing a seat belt and her air bag deployed.

No charges have been filed against Kubik.

The patrol estimated $10,000 damage to the Ford and $12,000 damage to the Dodge.

The names of occupants of the Intrepid have been withheld pending family notification.
