Katie Conlon and Alyssa Bossler led a 1-2-4 finish by the Jamestown College women.

And J.J. Koerber picked up a top-10 finish for the first time this season for the Jimmies at the Minot State Open cross country meet on Friday.

“Katie ran exceptionally well,” said Jimmies coach Jim Clark. “Alyssa ran well. They took off around the mile mark and separated themselves from everyone else.”

Conlon turned in a time of 18:55 to pick up her second individual title of the season. Bossler finished in 19:28, while teammate Ashleigh Anderson nearly made it a 1-2-3 finish for the Jimmies. Anderson covered the 5,000-meter course in 20:07, finishing just under two seconds behind Regina’s Melissa Peterson.

“It was Ashleigh’s best race of the year by far,” Clark said.

The Jimmies beat Minot State 21-36 for the team title.

Cambrya Belter was JC’s fourth runner, finishing 11th in 21:40. Alex Woodruff ran the best race of her career, finishing 12th in 21:58 to come in as the Jimmies’ fifth runner.

Suzy Avey took 1:45 off her best time of the season, coming in 15th in 22:33.

“J.J. Koerber ran his best race,” Clark said. “That’s the best I’ve seen him run since he’s been here.”

Koerber ran the 8,000 meters in 28:39 to finish seventh.

Kelly Roemmich came in 11th in 29:41, his best race of the season.
