Car-van crash kills 3, including infant

A car was struck head-on by a van west of New Town, killing all three people in the car and seriously injuring three in the van, the Highway Patrol says.

NEW TOWN, N.D. (AP) — A car was struck head-on by a van west of New Town, killing all three people in the car and seriously injuring three in the van, the Highway Patrol says.

The patrol said the crash happened Friday morning on state Highway 23, about four miles west of New Town in McKenzie County.

Killed were 17-year-old Lynae Crowe, the driver of the car, and two passengers, 6-month-old Jayden Crowe of Mandaree and 47-year-old Dorene Standish of Killdeer.

The patrol said the van driven by 56-year-old Randolf Lonefight, of Mandan, crossed into the wrong lane and struck the car head-on.
