One dead in pickup crash near Alexander

The Highway Patrol says a pickup rolled in a stubble field in McKenzie County, killing one of four people inside. Authorities identified the victim Tuesday as 23-year-old Neal Hermanson of Cartwright, N.D.

ALEXANDER, N.D. (AP) — The Highway Patrol says a pickup rolled in a stubble field in McKenzie County, killing one of four people inside.

Authorities identified the victim Tuesday as 23-year-old Neal Hermanson of Cartwright, N.D.

The patrol said the crash happened Monday night in a field about 12 miles west of Alexander. Authorities said the occupants of the pickup were thrown from the vehicle and it wound up on the passenger side.

Authorities said the driver, 24-year-old Lane Haugen of Alexander, and a passenger, 22-year-old Benjamin Anderson of Alexander, were injured.

Another passenger, 23-year-old Ryan Forbes of Alexander, escaped injury.
