Man found guilty of sex abuse of teen

Prosecutors say a Fort Totten man has been found guilty of sexually abusing a 17-year-old girl on the Spirit Lake reservation.

GRAND FORKS (AP) — Prosecutors say a Fort Totten man has been found guilty of sexually abusing a 17-year-old girl on the Spirit Lake reservation.

Authorities said 31-year-old Galen Jerry Robertson was found guilty of aggravated sexual abuse and abusive sexual contact on Thursday.

Authorities said the crime occurred in September 2007.

Sentencing has been set for Jan. 16. Robertson faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.
