Spenningsby honored on the ice

The Minnesota Junior Hockey League has named Nic Spenningsby of the Minnesota Flying Aces as honorable mention defensive player of the month for October.

Spenningsby, a Jamestown High School graduate and former Blue Jay hockey player, has four goals and 12 assists for 16 points for the Little Falls, Minn.,-based team. Teammates Tim Brenner and Conrad Kersten were also named honorable mention at forward and goaltender.

The Flying Aces are 10-11 on the season.
