JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) — Jamestown’s Goodrich plant is closing for the week that includes the Thanksgiving holiday. A company spokeswoman says it’s “nothing to get excited about.”
Spokeswoman Laura Neel says, “everybody will be back with business as usual on the First (of December).” The Jamestown plant employs about 600 people.
Goodrich is an aerospace and defense contractor with some 24,000 employees around the world. Neel says shutting down the Jamestown plant over the holiday week “gives people some time off and saves a little electricity.”
