Food drive seeks to fill the Fargodome
Students in the Fargo area have filled the Fargodome with about 67 tons of food — enough to fill four semitrailer loads. It’s the area’s largest youth-led food drive. Last year, the students gathered more than 40 tons of food. They topped their goal of 50 tons this year and also raised more than $57,000 in cash.

The school that raises the most food and money for the drive gets a $1,000 cash prize to donate to a charity of its choice.
Fargo Oak Grove sophomore Joe Burgum, one of the organizers of the drive, said student participation comes from second graders all the way to college age.
