Belcourt man to plead guilty for reservation crime spree
A Belcourt man said he will plead guilty for his role in an overnight crime spree last winter on the Turtle Mountain Indian Reservation.
BISMARCK (AP) — A Belcourt man said he will plead guilty for his role in an overnight crime spree last winter on the Turtle Mountain Indian Reservation.
Eric Crissler is charged in federal court with burglary and arson. He faces a combined maximum penalty of 30 years in prison and a $500,000 fine on both counts.
Authorities said Crissler and two people believed to be minors broke into the Bureau of Indian Affairs office building and set fire to a Turtle Mountain Community College storage building.
A change of plea hearing has not been scheduled.
