A Streeter, N.D., man is accused of using a shotgun to scare, with intent to hold the gun to the victim’s head during a domestic dispute, the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office said.

Sean Michael Reynolds, 53, Streeter, is charged with reckless endangerment and terrorizing, both Class C felonies, as a result of the dispute that occurred around midnight Tuesday, according to the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office.

Reynolds allegedly grabbed a shotgun and fired one round but the blast did not hit the victim. Reynolds said the gun accidentally discharged, according to Jay Schmitz, Stutsman County assistant state’s attorney.

Reynolds is being held at the Stutsman County Corrections Center on $10,000 cash bond.

A Class C felony is punishable by a maximum of five years in prison and a $5,000 fine. Because a gun was involved, if convicted, Reynolds would be incarcerated for a minimum of two years.
