Black Hills State football coach resigns

John Scott has resigned after six seasons as football coach at Black Hills State University to take a job as an area representative for a sporting goods company.

SPEARFISH, S.D. (AP) — John Scott has resigned after six seasons as football coach at Black Hills State University to take a job as an area representative for a sporting goods company.

Scott compiled a 37-24 record at BHSU. His teams won the Dakota Athletic Conference title in 2006 and 2007 and finished this year with a 6-4 record.
